In this dish vegetables and spices with raw mustard oil are cooked in a rustic fashion in a pot,preserving all the flavors in the curry.

  • 1. Potatoes (4 to 5 chopped into square pieces)
  • 3 to 5 chopped Tomatoes
  • 4 to 5 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tsp Chilli flakes optional
  • 1 Green chillies (1 chopped)
  • Salt as per taste
  • Sugar (as per taste )optional
  • Turmeric powder ( a pinch)(optional if you are using olive oil avoid turmeric powder)
  • 2 tbsp Mustard oil

  1. Add the potato and tomato pieces together with all the ingredients  except oil  in a pot.

  2. .Cover and cook for 15 minutes till the potatoes are soft and tomatoes have blended in the curry.

  3. Cook the curry so that it soaks up the additional water and the curry should not be watery.

  4. Add the oil  directly to the curry.

  5. Garnish with chilli flakes and serve with roti ,rice or tortillas.
