  • 5 Boiled eggs halved
  • 1 cup chopped shallots
  • 4 to 8 garlic cloves mashed and chopped finely
  • 1 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup corn flour
  • 3/4 cup rice flour
  • 4 green chilies shopped
  • spring onions for garnish
  • salt to taste

  1. Make a batter of cornflour and rice flour with water and pinch of salt.
  2. Dip the boiled egg halves in the batter and deep fry in oil
  3. Add a tbsp of oil in the wok.
  4. fry chopped garlic.
  5. Fry shallots.
  6. Add red chilly powder followed by shallots and vinegar.
  7. Add cornflour dissolved in water.
  8. Add salt if necessary. Saute.
  9. Add the deep fried eggs and saute till they become covered with the sauce.
  10. Spice up with the chopped green chilies. Garnish with spring onions and serve.
