Spicy grilled prawns with pineapple

This is a grilled prawn recipe which can be served as a started, full of fruity flavor from the pineapple, sweet and tangy. It is also very delicious from the coconut present in the spices.

  • 500 gm medium sized prawns

Spices

  • 4 to 5 garlic cloves
  • 2- inch ginger
  • 2 to 3 green chilies
  • 1 lemon grass stalk
  • 3 slices of pineapple
  • 1 lemon juiced.
  • 1/2 cup dried grated coconut.
  • 1 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp mixture of cinnamon cloves and cardamom in equal quantities.
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil or mustard oil

Vegetables

  • Squared slices of pineapples
  • Slices of onion
  • square pieces of capsicum
  • Cut tomatoes into big chunks.

Instructions

Preparations

  1. Make a mixture of all ingredients into a paste.
  2. Add lemon juice.
  3. Add salt. Marinate the prawns for 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Marinate the vegetables also with these spices.
  5. Pass through the wooden skewers alternating prawns with vegetables.
  6. Drizzle with oil
  7. Grill at 170 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes
  8. Take out the skewers when the prawn and vegetables are tender, and water has dried out.
  9. Char them directly on the flame.
  10. You can serve them with green chutney hot with raw onions on the side.
