Soak rice for at least half an hour

drain it and dry

chop the methi leaves finely
-
crush the garlic cloves
-
in a wok add 2 to 3 TBSP of oil

add garlic and fry
-
add the fenugreek or methi leaves and fry on a low flame till soft

add salt
-
Add the chopped tomato and green chillies
-
add the rice and stir it for 5 minutes
-
measure water and add
-
for 1 cup of rice add 2 cups of water(double the quantity)
-
for 3 cups of rice add 6 cups of water
-
note:the same measuring cup should be used for measuring rice as well as water
-
cover and cook till the water is fully absorbed and the rice becomes soft
-
sprinkle lemon juice and serve.
