  • 1 cup Refined flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup mawa or khoa
  • 1/4 th cup milk
  • 1/2 cup clarified butter or vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp. condensed milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • A handful of white chocolate chips



  1. Strain refined flour, baking powder and baking soda.
  2. Grate mawa.
  3. Beat mawa with clarified butter and condensed milk with a electric or manual beater.
  4. Mix vanilla.
  5. Add sugar and beat till you don't form a smooth mixture.
  6. Add milk and mix to form a loose bubbly mixture.
  7. Fold in flour and mix in batches.
  8. drizzle lemon juice and mix to form a thick batter not pouring.
  9. Add desiccated coconut and mix.
  10. Fill the muffin cups till half. Sprinkle some white chocolate chips on the cupcakes.
  11. preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  12. Bake these cupcakes for 25 to 30 minutes at 170 degrees. check with a fork to see whether done.
  13. Cool them completely before serving.
