Ingredients

Main ingredient

  • 200 gm Basa fish fillets

Marination

  • 4 Green chilies chopped depending on how much spicy you want
  • 1 Lime juice 1 lemon
  • 9 to 10 cloves Garlic chopped
  • Salt as per taste

Batter for coating

  • 1 cup Corn flour
  • 1/4 cup Water

For gravy

  • Red chilly sauce 2 tbsp
  • Green chilly sauce 2 tpsp
  • 9 to 10 flakes of crushed or finely chopped garlic
  • Tomato ketchup 2 tbsp
  • Spring onions finely chopped
  • Capsicum 1 chopped
  • Salt as per taste
  • Sugar as per taste
  • Chopped green chilies 2 to 3

Instructions

  1. Preparation
  2. Mince the fish fillets roughly in a mixer grinder .do not make it smooth.
  3. Marinate the minced fillets for 15 minutes.
  4. Make balls from the mixture ,dip in the cornflour batter and deep fry in oil.
  5. Once  crisp and golden in color take out and keep aside

Gravy

  1. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a wok or kadai.

  2. Add crushed or chopped garlic.

  3. Add capsicum and fry.

  4. Add all the sauces and ketchup.

  5. Stir fry for 2 minutes.

  6. Add the fish balls.

  7. Gently stir.

  8. Add green chilies, spring onions and cook for five minutes on low flame.

  9. Mix 1 tbsp of cornflour in a cup of water and mix.

  10. Add the water in the kadai and cook,till the mixture thickens.

  11. Check the salt and sugar,if you want you can add little more salt or sugar at this stage.

  12. Serve with the spring onions on top.
