Coconut kheer kadam | Kheer Kadam Recipe

This is sweet treat prepared with an outer casing with sweetened coconut and condensed milk and inner casing with small flavored cottage cheese ball.

  • 5 cups Grated coconut
  • 2 cups Condensed milk
  • 1 tsp. Cardamom powder
  • 6 drops Mango color essence
  • 1 tbsp. Ghee or clarified butter
  • 1/2 cup chhana homemade,
  • 2 cup Sugar

Inner stuffing

  1. Make the inner stuffing first.
  2. Take 1/2 cup chhana (homemade cottage cheese)
  3. Smash the chhana
  4. make a dough
  5. mix 4 tbsp. of Condensed milk
  6. Then mix it very well so that the mixture becomes smooth.
  7. Make the dough very soft
  8. Then add 6 drops of mango color essence, so that the color and flavor of Khir-kodom will become very tasty and of mango flavor
  9. Mix it very well
  10. Make small balls for kheer kadam stuffing, now the inner stuffing of the Kheer kadam is ready.
  11. Similarly make another variation of the stuffing using cardamom powder.

Outer casing

  1. Take the grated coconut in a bowl with 2 cup of sugar and mix it very well until the sugar melts
  2. Pour this mixture into a heated frying pan and mix it properly.
  3. Mix 2 cups of condensed milk and again mix very well
  4. Keep on mixing on low flame otherwise the mixture will burn.
  5. Keep on steering until the mixture till it leaves the sides of the pan.
  6. Add cardamom powder and mix it very well. Take off the heat and keep the mixture for cooling.
  7. Now we have to take some Ghee in our plum and start the process of making small balls
  8. Fill the balls with the inner stuff that was prepared earlier.
  9. Make round balls and keep them for 30 minutes in normal temperature.
