Sushi roll

  • 1 ripe but firm avocado
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Salt 2 taste
  • 1 nori sheet
  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 1 cup water
  • Carrots and cucumber cut into thin strips
  • 1 tbsp roasted black sesame seed

Sweet soy sauce

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp of sugar
  • 1 green chili finely chopped
  • 1 spring onion finely chopped
  • 1 tsp roasted white sesame seeds

Instructions for sushi roll

  1. Wash soaked sushi rice and boil with 1 cup of water , till soft.(pressure cook till 1 whistle)
  2. Season with salt vinegar and salt ,
  3. Cut avocados into strips
  4. Spread seasoned rice on nori sheet on bamboo mat
  5. Place cucumber carrots and avocados.
  6. Drizzle mayo with a piping bag
  7. Roll tightly
  8. Cut into slices
  9. Drizzle some spicy mayo and toasted sesame seeds
  10. Serve with sweet soy sauce

Instructions for sauce

  1. Boil all the ingredients till sugar dissolves and caramellizes.
  2. Sprinkle roasted sesame seeds and chopped spring onions
