Homemade chinese dumpling

These are potato flour dumplings stuffed with minced chicken. Potato flour brings a semi translucent and chewy texture to the dumplings. I added refined flour to create ome forms of bindings to the dough making it easier to work

  • 1 cup potato flour
  • 2/3 cup refined flour
  • 100 gm minced chicken
  • 2 shallots
  • 3 small garlic cloves
  • Spring onions
  • 2 chopped green chilies

Instructions

Preparation

  1. Add boiling water to potato flour and mix
  2. Add refined flour and make a workable dough
  3. Add all the chopped vegetables and salt to chicken
  4. Make small balls if dough
  5. Flatten it and place 1 tsp of mixture at the centre
  6. Seal the mixture with mixtures giving a half moon shape
  7. Steam these dumplings for 15 to 20 minutes
  8. Sprinkle chopped spring onions and roasted sesame seeds
  9. Serve with a soy based dipping sauce
