This is a summer chicken curry prepared when you have mango abundance in the season.Sweet and tangy with subtle spiciness are the key flavors of this curry.
Ingredients
- 400 to 500 gm Chicken
- 1 big tomato
- 1/2 cup onions
- 1 cup mango pulp
- 1 cup curd
- 6 to 7 medium garlic cloves
- 2 inch ginger grated
- 3 to 4 red chilies whole
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp red chilly powder
- 4 to 5 curry leaves
- 2 tbsp of oil
Instructions
- Marinate chicken with curd
- Add onion,red chilies,ginger ,garlic in the mixture grinder.
- Fry onions in oil till translucent.
- Add mango pulp mixture and saute.
- Add dry spices .
- Fry till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
- Add tomato puree and vinegar and saute.
- Cover cook for 20 to 30 minutes, till the chicken is tender.
- Garnish with curry leaves and serve.
