Eggless microwave easy chocolate cake with Rum caramel sauce

I was looking for an egg-less chocolate cake recipe which I can make for my daughter almost daily as she is in love with the same.In my busy schedule it becomes difficult for me to measure ingredients and bake a 25 to 30 minute cake.SO I was looking out for mug cakes ,when I discovered this easy mug cake recipe and it works wonderfully well for bigger cakes too.e cake is soft moist but only thing that you have to hold your patience because after micro it should be allowed to rest for sometimes inside the microwave.Otherwise the cake may break.For kids you can avoid rum.You can just increase the ingredients  in the same proportion if you want a larger cake.

Ingredients

for 200 gm cake

1.Refined flour (5 tbsp)
2.Cocoa powder (5 tbsp)
3.Vegetable oil or butter (5 tbsp)
4.Powdered sugar (5 to 7 tbsp)
5.Dark chocolate (1/2 cup grated) optional
6.tutti fruities (1 cup)
7.Apple cider vinegar ( 1/2 tbsp)
8.Baking powder (1/2 tbsp)
9.Vanilla (1/4 th tsp)
10.Milk (7 tbsp)

 

Preparation

1.Grease a microwave proof bowl and dust with flour.
2.measure and strain the dry ingredients.
3.Add all the other ingredients and mix to form a smooth batter.The batter should not be runny or stiff.
4.pour this mixture on the greased bowl and micro for 4 to 5 minutes and allow to rest for 5 minutes inside.It may be different for different microwave machines check the cake after every 2 minutes with a fork .

for the rum caramel sauce

1.Add a cup of powdered sugar on the pan and heat it till it all melts.
2.Add 2 tbsp of butter.
3.Add 1/2 cup of heavy cream.
4.Stir till it forms a thick sauce.
5.If it gets sticky add some milk.
6.Stop when you reached the desired consistency.
7.Add a tbsp of rum (optional)

Pour this sauce over the cake and decorate with grated white chocolate.

You can decorate with chocolate glaze also..
