Aloo tokri chaat (Potato basket Indian savory snacks)
on the chaat counter.I ordered the dish.It was tempting and mouthwatering. The next day I had to try
this at home as I will forget the taste of it.
The result was awesome ,hubby was not at home and there aren’t any leftovers for him to taste. It was really difficult ,I was struggling with my daughter to let me take some photos .It is healthy ..you can make hundreds of variations out of it,changing the sauces and the spices. The potato baskets are like ready made canopies.they can be stuffed with veggies, corns or cheese or fruits, chicken any thing..
At first I tried deep frying the potato basket but the shape was not coming up well.If any of you can come up with a better idea ,mention in the comments.
So I decided to bake it in a muffin cup and then deep fry because I wanted the basket to be crispy. This time shape came out well but the deep fried one definitely was tastier and more crispy.
I have included both in my recipe.Try whichever you like.
