What a day! it all started with hustle ,bustle and the sweet sound of the crockery ,utensils and cutleries as the young ladies participating in the cooking contest organized by youngbutterfly.in in collaboration with the ,Culinary crafts , Powai began their cooking job of the day. A busy and wonderful day indeed .The tables were covered with colorful vegetables and ingredients and with curiosity in their eyes and enthusiasm in hearts the contestants had reached the venue. The whole day was spent beautifully among clicks, imparting instructions, coordinating and tasting the delicious food prepared by the contestants. Preparing a healthy lunchbox is a task itself ,in addition, the secret ingredient introduced ,demanded some amount of creativity and culinary skills. I thoroughly enjoyed the event with the Organizers who were so kind and cooperative and the talented contestants. Some of the contestants were home bakers ,finance professionals working in corporate , college students , homemakers etc .
The cookoff was a final round which consisted of shortlisted candidates who had submitted their recipes online. It was held in two batches as there was only 6 cooking stations in the venue and 12 contestants.

When a bunch of women congregate and unleash their creativity and express their voice and take an oath to organize themselves, then it is a bliss in turbulence to see their eyes blazing with prospect. When a mother like Shazida finds back her independent identity, breaking the shackle of monotony yet not hampering the tradition, family and child, it deserves yet another kudos to her effort.
