This is a nice paneer recipe which is tasty and extremely easy to make at home.It will be popular with kids as they love cheese.You can make the paneer or cottage cheese at home easily.
Making of cottage cheese
1.Heat half liter of milk and bring to a boil.
2.Keep 2 tbsp of lemon juice or 1 tbsp of vinegar ready.[the quantity of juice may vary according to the quality and quantity of milk.If you see that the milk does not separate add some more juice.But don’t add too much together as the paneer will taste sour in that case.I advice you to add little by little.] 3.I prefer lemon juice as it is natural.
4.Add the juice to the milk and continue boil.
5.The milk and water starts separating.
6.When all the water has separated and the milk turned into cottage cheese,strain it with clean cloth.
7.Wrap the cottage cheese in the clean cloth tight and keep a heavy block of stone or board or something heavy to drain all the water and make it tight and flat.
8.After 3 to 4 hours take out the block by unwrapping the cloth and cut into rectangular pieces.
9.Your homemade cottage cheese is ready to be cooked or eating as it is.
1.200 gm of cottage cheese(cut into pieces)
3.Ginger garlic paste(1 tbsp)
4.Fresh cream(1 cup)
5.Goat cheese or if not available any other cheese( 1/2 cup)
6.Tomato 1 chopped and pureed
7.Parsley (chopped 1 tbsp)
8.Butter or oil (2 tbsp)
9.Chilli flakes(1/2 tbsp)
1.Add butter in a wok.
2.Add ground onion.
3.Add Ginger Garlic Paste
4.Saute till golden
5.Add toato and saute till oil leves the pan.
6.Add fresh cream and grated cheese.
7.Cook for two to three minutes till the gravy is well blended.
8.Check salt at his stage add if only necessary as cheese contains salt.
9.Add the cottage cheese pieces and cove cook for 1 minute.
10.Add parseley and chilli flakes and serve.
