Homemade Chinese dumplings from scratch

These are potato flour dumplings stuffed with minced chicken. Potato flour brings a semi translucent and chewy texture to the dumplings. I added refined flour to create ome forms of bindings to the dough making it easier to work




Ingredients
- 1 cup potato flour
- 2/3 rd cup refined flour
- 100 gm minced chicken
- 2 shallots
- 3 small garlic cloves
- Spring onions
- 2 chopped green chilies
Preparation
- Add boiling water to potato flour and mix
- Add refined flour and make a workable dough
- Add all the chopped vegetables and salt to chicken
- Make small balls if dough
- Flatten it and place 1 tsp of mixture at the centre
- Seal the mixture with mixtures giving a half moon shape
- Steam these dumplings for 15 to 20 minutes
- Sprinkle chopped spring onions and roasted sesame seeds
- Serve with a soy based dipping sauce
