This was in my todo list for a long time, I got these beautiful seedless oranges as a part of the gift hamper from Natures Basket. I had several versions of this beautiful recipe. This recipe is minimalistic and has few ingredients full of aroma and flavor. The oranges I used were very sweet so I needed to use lime juice for adding tartness and used green chilis for the spice kick. The recipe needs to be sweet , you can use sugar or homey as per your liking.

Mastering the Ultimate Visual Balance of Takeout-Style Chicken

Crafting a spectacular, restaurant-quality batch of homemade sweet and sour orange chicken requires a precise understanding of cornstarch batter mechanics and citrus glaze reduction. Traditionally, the true magic of this beloved Chinese-American takeout classic relies on flash-frying your seasoned chicken breast cubes twice in a blistering hot skillet to achieve a shatter-crisp outer crust. Because these cornstarch-coated meat sections possess an exceptional ability to retain internal moisture when cooked, this double-frying method ensures the poultry stays beautifully juicy while holding onto its crunchy shell flawlessly.

Subsequently, tossing your fried chicken pieces into a simmering skillet alongside fresh orange juice, grated ginger, and lemon juice demands swift culinary timing. Consequently, whether you choose to elevate the heat with a generous handful of green chilies or keep the glaze sweet and velvety for a family-friendly gathering, coating the meat thoroughly before serving is highly critical. Ultimately, garnishing the platter with a vibrant layer of freshly chopped green onions guarantees a magnificent, lip-smacking dinner layout that pairs magnificently with a steaming mound of hot jasmine rice!
