USAPEEC (USA Poultry & Egg Export Council) who had launched one of the finest delicious American poultry products in the past , On Sunday 12th of March , launched 3 products , a whole duck for roast, duck breasts and marinated ready to eat duck confit.
The launch event was organized at Food Hall by Food bloggers of India Association, popularly known as FBAI in collaboration with @usapeec.in @tasteofamericain and @mapleleaffarms. FBAI had invited us for a wonderful master class by world renowned chef Varun Inamdar followed by a brunch with duck meat as the key ingredient in the Food hall culinary studio at Khar.
The chef cooked three dishes all fabulous bursting with flavors,
- Scorched duck breasts cooked medium rare with potatoes cooked in orange juice.
- Roasted duck burger with an Indonesian sauce kecap manis served with Indonesian pickle
- A Frankie stuffed with duck confit.
The chef @varuninamdar brilliantly illustrated the technique to handle and cook duck meat with the ingredient frozen duck meat. How the duck breasts should be cooked till medium rare and with the skin down till crispy and the fat underneath the skin melts completely releasing all the flavors.
The brunch was super delicious, and I was all excited to meet my foodie friends. The three products, a whole duck for roasting, frozen duck breasts and duck confit are available at foodhall.

Duck is high in protein, vitamin B12, iron and Omega 3 fatty acids. It is also gluten free. Duck also has lesser calories than chicken or any other poultry.
Is duck meat fatty?
Duck is a bird, but the meat of duck is categorized under red meat. the duck has a layer of fat under skin, but its lean meat.
