Coconut kheer kadam | Kheer Kadam Recipe

Kheer kadam is a delicious sweet one of my childhood favorites from Kolkata sweet shops. This is authentically made with mawa or khoya or reduced dried milk cooked with sugar till it forms a firm dough which can be stored for long. It is stuffed with small rasgullas or cottage cheese balls cooked in sugar syrup. The word kadam is derived from kadam flower which grows in an Ever green tree native to South East Asia. The flowers look very unique are a ball of clusters with a spherical core.

Aparna gave a twist to this authentic delicacy by preparing an outer casing with sweetened coconut and condensed milk and inner casing with small flavored cottage cheese ball. sounds delicious and easy to make at home. This recipe was submitted as a part of the recipe competition I hosted on this blog sometimes back.
