We had almost taken life for granted when suddenly a pandemic almost like a lightening struck us. No preparation time , no drills and you are suddenly locked up at home with your family members ,forced to work from home, expected to balance all the household chores all by yourself without a helping hand. Kids studying online, husband working from home and myself involved with online teaching needed a complete new plan to balance tasks effectively.
With the realization that immunity needs to be preserved and improved and cooking at home is the best means ,sometimes the only means, with lockdown all over and the food delivery services closed for a while worldwide, you need a lot of ideas to keep yourself and family going, supplying nutritious balanced meal every day.
Another issue was the unavailability and scarcity of ingredients. In many areas the grocery shops would only keep essential ingredients and a little luxurious ingredients to cook up fancy food is not available.Even I found common ingredients like refined flour, cheese, chocolates, yeast difficult to find in our areas . Defintely it will vary from place to place across the world.
To help people keep up with the demands for new delicious meals every day with basic pantry ingredients or minimal ingredients ,some of my blogger friends with the initiative from Joy Gordon ,my friend and fellow blogger started a monthly e magazine compiling recipes from all over the world. These recipes are simple, easy to make and within budget. Do check up the links to download the magazines.
